Parson’s Nose Theater will be offering several exciting holiday performances in December at its historic Marston and Van Pelt designed theater in Old Pasadena. The Parson’s Nose company, which is devoted to performing condensed classic adaptations of the world’s greatest writers – from Shakespeare and Molière to Shaw and Chekhov – will be performing holiday musical favorites as well has Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol.”
On December 4th, the theater will host two talented a capella musical groups with alumni from the nation’s premier academic institutions – Harvard and CalTech. The Harvard Yardbirds and CalTech’s OcTech”will team up to present “Snow” a series of vocal selections for the holiday season.
Beginning December 10th through December 18th, Parson’s Nose will present Radio Style readings of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale of Christmas, performed by the Parson’s Nose ensemble under the direction of Artistic Director Lance Davis.
While the theater was closed during the COVID pandemic, the Parson’s Nose company was busy producing a series of Radio Theater productions, ranging from Chekov and Mark Twain to Old Time Radio Theater. Even as the company returns to live performances, they will continue to produce their Radio Theater podcasts, which have been enjoyed by thousands of listeners online, and are available at parsonsnose.com.
