The Rose Bowl is set to be the scene of an Earth, Wind and Fire live performance Friday as the group headlines the  Annual Race to Erase MS Gala. Attendees will enjoy the concert from the safety of their vehicles, due to health regulations — but they can always get out and dance if they remain socially distanced.

Audio will be transmitted to a synced FM radio or signal along with low amplified sound based on Rose Bowl Stadium guidelines.

The event also features a fashion show by New York City-based contemporary clothing company alice + olivia.

Gate will open at 6:30 pm. Show will start at 7:30 pm.

“We are so thrilled to be returning to the Rose Bowl Stadium for a second time, and can’t wait for a fun night of dancing under the stars with Earth, Wind and Fire,” Race to Erase MS founder Nancy Davis told Hollywood Reporter in March.  “We were overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm from our guests last year, despite these challenging times, and are looking forward to another memorable event, as we come together to learn more about this devastating disease and raise money to find a cure for MS.”

Earth Wind And Fire were scheduled to tour last year with longtime friend and fellow Hall Of Famer Carlos Santana, but this was postponed due to the pandemic. On their website, the band, one of America’s top rating performers, said their Miraculous Supernatural Tour will start in June 2022.

Race to Erase MS is a foundation dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Its core focus is funding research, and all funds raised support its Center Without Walls program, a selected network of the nation’s top MS research centers. This nationwide collaboration of physicians and scientists are on the cutting-edge of innovative research programs, working as a team on therapeutic approaches to eradicate MS.

In addition to combating MS through research in a clinical environment, the foundation also hopes to increase awareness by educating the public about the mystifying disease.

Drive-In to Erase MS is a live entertainment experience that you will enjoy from the safety of your own car. Audio will be transmitted to a synced FM radio or signal along with low amplified sound based on Rose Bowl Stadium guidelines.

After you purchase a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with directions the week of the event. Your name is listed in an electronic registration system; at check-in you will receive a parking pass with an assigned spot at the event.

The driver must wear a face covering at gate entry during check-in.

“Safety is our utmost priority and our evening will strictly follow all health and safety standards to protect guests, talent, crew and staff,” the organizers said. “We look forward to celebrating with you in your car in a safe and conscientious manner.”

Drive-In to Erase MS will also feature a live auction during the event, as well as a silent auction that’s currently available online through https://aesbid.co/RACE21/#page=1.
