The infectious rhythms that transformed East Harlem into Latin music’s epicenter will pulse through downtown Los Angeles this August, as MUSE/IQUE presents “Like It Like Harlem” at the Mark Taper Forum.

Running August 8 to 10, the production explores how mambo, salsa, and boogaloo converged in East Harlem to create enduring hits like “I Like It Like That,” “Oye Cómo Va,” and “Boogaloo Blues.”
