The program, titled “A Cultural Thursdays Event! The Artist Life of Eva Scott Fényes,” will be led by Daniel Nevarez of Pasadena Museum of History.
The event highlights how the Pasadena Museum of History established its permanent home in 1970 on the historic estate that once belonged to Fényes.
After arriving in Pasadena in 1896, she quickly became an active part of the city’s growing art community, supporting many California artists along the way.
Attendees are invited to join Education and Program Manager Daniel Nevarez, according to the Pasadena Senior Center, to learn about Eva’s passion for art and how the museum continues to preserve and share her remarkable story.
As part of the Pasadena Senior Center’s Cultural Thursdays series, the lecture offers older adults and community members a window into Pasadena’s artistic and cultural history through the life of one of its key figures.
“A Cultural Thursdays Event! The Artist Life of Eva Scott Fényes” will run on Thursday, February 26 at 2 p.m. at Pasadena Senior Center, 85 East Holly Street, Pasadena, CA 91103. Ticket prices: free for members, $5 for nonmembers.
