Tour the gardens at La Casita del Arroyo, the first public garden designed by Isabelle Greene (granddaughter of prominent architect Henry Greene). Greene's design included California native and drought-tolerant plantings. Following the garden tour, join us for a special presentation on landscape architect Florence Yoch who designed residential landscapes, public gardens, and Hollywood film sets primarily in Southern California along with her partner Lucile Council. Erin Chase, Associate Curator of Architecture and Photography at The Huntington , will highlight a variety of Yoch and Council's projects with a focus on the collection materials within Yoch's archive housed at The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens. Guests are invited to tour the gardens of La Casita between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. The lecture presentation will begin promptly at 11:00 AM. Light refreshments will be provided.
