From a healthy salad to a tasty steak and even the delicious dessert at the end of a meal, the impact of climate change is present in every bite. Join this event at the Crawford Theater to explore the intersection between food and climate. This event is part of NPR’s Climate Solutions Week, a week dedicated to stories and conversations about the search for climate solutions, with a particular focus on the future of food. The evening will feature a baking demonstration by award-winning local baker Nicole Rucker of Fat & Flour, joined by food and culture associate editor Gab Chabrán. Following the demo, there will be a discussion led by science reporter Jacob Margolis and climate emergency reporter Erin Stone, featuring farmers and policymakers on how climate change is affecting agriculture in California.
