Join art enrichment facilitator Helane Rheingold for a conversation of West African Art on Zoom. Helane will facilitate an interactive workshop focusing on techniques on how to look at, interpret, and analyze works. She will describe the areas in sub-Saharan west Africa, where the slaves were forcefully removed and brought to America. Delve into the craftsmanship from these regions. Pasadena Village’s “1619, The Lingering Imprint” group was inspired by the New York Times’ magazine issue, “1619 Project.” This is a safe place to talk about the history of racism in America, to understand its origins and its residual impact. Dick Myers, organizer of the group often invites informative guest speakers, and always welcomes new participants to join their third Friday sessions at Noon.
