Learn what elements of a painting catch the viewer’s eye and why. Beginning in the Baroque galleries, join a Museum educator as they lead you through to the modern galleries pointing out the keys to composition, color, value and line along the way. Learn the secrets to Peter Paul Rubens’s expressive gestures, Édouard Manet’s commanding figures and Henri Matisse’s rich use of color. Space is limited to 20 participants. Sign up is required and is taken at the Information Desk when the museum opens on a first come, first served basis.
