This season, Pasadena Conservatory of Music (PCM) presents three Musical Interludes concerts inspired by scenes and sounds from the natural world: Water, Night, and Forest. From the ancient redwoods of Toru Takemitsu’s “Muir Woods” to Antonín Dvo?ák’s depiction of the Bohemian Forest in “Silent Woods”, our 24/25 season concludes with sounds of the forest. Program: Liszt "Waldesrauschen"; Dvorak "Silent Woods"; MacDowell "In Deep Woods" and "To an Old White Pine"; Messiaen "Le Merle noir"; Ysaye "L’Aurore"; Takemitsu "Wainscot Pond" and "Muir Woods"; Schumann "Waldszenen". Artists: Johannah Borenstein (flute), Bryan Fasola (guitar), Tomsen Su (cello), Ashlee Sung* (violin ) ’24, Esther Yune (piano), and Alexander Zhu (piano). Hosted by Brian Lauritzen.
