"Join us in an afternoon of celebrating family heritage and communing with the Altadena/Pasadena community with poetry/spoken word, music and dance at the Alkebu-Lan Cultural Center in Pasadena". Featured poet is Altadena homegrown, writer/poet and World Stage Press author of "The Orisha Talks: Tales of Lust, Love & Herstorical Memory", Tricia Cochée. Special guests include former Altadena Poet Laureates, Teresa Mei Chuc, Hazel Afia Clayton, and Thelma T. Reyna; and poet Angela Ama Clayton. The afternoon opens with an open mic (poets/musicians come early to sign up) and will include World Stage Press author, Pam Ward. Free event but donations are welcome to support our special performers and the Alkebu-Lan Cultural Center.
