Join Altadena Library for Ellen Snortland's solo show, “Now That She’s Gone,” which explores Ellen’s often hilarious, irreverent and sometimes torturous relationship with her Norwegian-American mother. In turns passionate, poignant and funny, the show made its off-Broadway debut in 2008. Since then, it has received rave reviews and standing ovations worldwide. About the performer - Ellen Snortland is a columnist for the Pasadena Weekly, LA Downtown News, and the West Side Argonaut. Her popular column “Consider This…” has run for 32 years and just garnered Ellen the LA Press Club's highest honors: Columnist of the Year and Journalist of the Year. She’s also the author of “Beauty Bites Beast," featured on Dateline NBC, and is the writer/director of the award-winning documentary film of the same name. For ages 18+.
