PUSD Families, Neighbors & Public Education Supporters - this year has been a volatile one for the state and national economy - and local public schools have not been spared. In addition to the disruption and loss caused by the recent Eaton fire, local Pasadena Unified schools have been forced to make painful, significant cuts to teaching and staff positions. These cuts threaten the programs and services students depend on to be healthy, productive learners and successful graduates.  That’s why District 4 Board Member Scott Harden invites the community to join on this meeting on Tuesday, May 20 for an important discussion about how public schools are funded today and why financial risk persists both locally and across the state. The conversation will explore how the community can work together to advocate for better funding, helping the District persevere through tough fiscal times and emerge stronger for the future. It’s also a great opportunity to build relationships and stay connected throughout his term on the PUSD Board of Education. Refreshments and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
