The USC Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena wraps up a two-day Ikebana Spring Flower Celebration on Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm. The event, in collaboration with Ikebana International Los Angeles, Chapter #4, will feature more than 40 flower arrangements by the five different schools of Ikebana from the greater Los Angeles area.
In addition, visitors can enjoy Ikebana demonstrations, interactive walk-up workshops for children, and a small craft fair. This program is free with Museum admission, and attendees can register for the event online.
Ikebana International Los Angeles, Chapter #4, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, is a volunteer-led chapter dedicated to fostering “Friendship through Flowers” in Los Angeles County since 1957. Ikebana International is a worldwide, nonprofit organization that promotes and appreciates ikebana, a traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement.
According to the organizers, this event offers an opportunity for visitors to explore and appreciate the beauty of Ikebana and build connections with the community. The program will be held at the USC Pacific Asia Museum, located at 46 N Los Robles, Pasadena.
