Celebrity Chef Katsuya has brought his renowned restaurant, Sushi Katsu-ya, to Pasadena with an online order kitchen set to open in April 2023.
Chef Katsuya Uechi is a master sushi chef who has received international recognition and praise for his distinctive style and expertise. Born and raised in Okinawa, Japan, Chef Katsuya is known for his first-rate execution and is recognized as one of the major trendsetters in the world of Japanese cuisine.
The online order kitchen will offer Katsu-ya’s must-try creations, including the miso-marinated black cod, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, and crispy rice topped with spicy tuna, as well as their world-famous popcorn shrimp and unique hand rolls.
With over 10 locations in Los Angeles and Seattle, the Katsu-ya Group’s consistent success is a product of Chef Katsuya’s talent and hard work.
Chef Katsuya’s innovative approach to personalized culinary experiences has earned him numerous appearances on news and cooking shows, including “Top Chef” and the Japanese documentary “Kono Nihonjin ga sugoi rashii. Brand New Japan”. He has also starred in the feature film “Wa-shoku: Beyond Sushi” and authored the cookbook Washoku of California.
Delivery and pick-up services will be offered through popular apps such as Postmates, UberEats, and Doordash, making it convenient for customers to enjoy Sushi Katsu-ya’s delicious food from the comfort of their own homes.
