Family Festival: Hindu and Buddhist Deities Family Fest

Published on Jul 15, 2022

Norton Simon Museum educators will devote an afternoon Saturday, July 16, to Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses and the tradition of storytelling, in “Family Fest: Hindu and Buddhist Deities,” from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Norton Simon educators will tell you about objects in the South and Southeast Asian collection that portray gods such as Ganesha and Vishnu. You will then head to the museum’s lower-level courtyard for a range of art-making activities inspired by these artworks.

The event is recommended for families with children ages 4 to10. This program is free with Museum admission, but advanced reservations are required.

Admission is free for children 18 and younger.
