Foothill Family Celebrates 100 Years of Service with Centennial Gala

Published on May 5, 2026

One hundred years after a small group of local women came together to support families in need, Foothill Family will commemorate a century of community impact with its Centennial Gala on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena.

The milestone event honors an organization founded in 1926 that has shaped the well-being of generations of Southern California children and parents through mental health care, early childhood development, school-based counseling, and family services. Today, Foothill Family reaches more than 25,000 individuals each year across the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities.

The black-tie evening will feature a cocktail reception, dinner program, live auction, and paddle raise expanding access to counseling, early childhood education, and family support services that help children and families build stability, confidence, and emotional well-being. The program will also include storytelling presentations featuring real families and the impact of parent education and early support.

“For 100 years, Foothill Family has come alongside families during life’s most difficult moments and helped them move toward stability and hope,” said Steve Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Foothill Family. “This Centennial Gala is more than a celebration of our history. It is a commitment to the next century of care, ensuring every child and every family in our community has the opportunity to grow, heal, and thrive.”

The annual gala serves as the largest fundraiser of the year, supporting programs that include early childhood development services for infants and toddlers, therapy provided directly on school campuses, youth and family counseling, domestic violence prevention, and parent support education. These services are especially critical as communities continue to face rising youth anxiety, family stress, and barriers to accessible mental health care.

Foothill Family’s previous gala brought together community leaders, philanthropists, and civic partners to support life-changing programs. The 2026 Centennial event expands that vision, recognizing both the organization’s historic roots in Pasadena and its evolving role as a regional leader in community-based behavioral health and family support. Sponsorships, underwriting and advertising opportunities are now available.
