A free screening of Disney’s “Snow White” will be offered Sunday to residents impacted by the recent Eaton/Altadena fires, organizers announced.
The event, scheduled for April 6 at 3:30 p.m. at the Landmark Theater in Pasadena, is being presented by A Taste of Culture in collaboration with Leaders, Educators, Alpha’s of Philander (L.E.A.P.).
“The fires have caused many of the residents in our community to have to rebuild their lives and start new hobbies, interests, experiences and traditions. They can no longer do the things that they enjoyed doing prior to the fires, however, this is a time to create new memories, build new experiences and make new friends. Studies have shown that disasters can have devasting impacts on the health and mental wellness of those directly affected by the disaster,” said Paula Boyd of A Taste of Culture.
The screening is part of a monthly and ongoing commitment to supporting community members during their recovery.
A Taste of Culture is dedicated to promoting health and wellness through arts, culture and education. The organization believes in the power of community and partnering with community businesses and organizations to create events and programs that uplift and support individuals and families.
Co-sponsors for the event include Becker Law Group, Singleton Schreiber, McNicholas & McNicholas, and Creative Visions.
Residents affected by the fires can reserve free tickets by calling or texting (626) 399-2580. The Landmark Theater is located at 673 E. Colorado Blvd., in downtown Pasadena.
