Pasadena residents can access a free basic health screening at the La Pintoresca Branch Library on Thursday, Jan. 8. The event is sponsored by the Pasadena Public Library and features services provided by registered nurses from Huntington Health, an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai.

Nurses will offer blood pressure checks and blood glucose screenings, as well as referrals and general health education. Attendees interested in the blood glucose screening are recommended to fast for a minimum of two hours prior to testing.

The two-hour session is open to the public without charge. It serves as an opportunity for community members to monitor vital health metrics conveniently at their local library branch.

Free Health Screening will run on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Ave., in Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 744-7268 or visit https://www.cityofpasadena.net/library/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D193567967.
