On the third Friday morning of each month, older adults visiting the Pasadena Senior Center can pick up bags of fresh vegetables on the center’s patio as part of a recurring “Free Produce Distribution on the Patio” event presented by the Order of Malta Mobile Ministries.

The next distribution is scheduled for Friday, February 20, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., or while supplies last, at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. in Pasadena.

The Pasadena Senior Center, a nonprofit serving older adults with social services, nutrition and recreation programs, lists the produce giveaway among its social service offerings for visitors.

The center describes the program this way: The Order of Malta Mobile Ministries provides fresh vegetables to the communities they serve, and nutritious foods are available to visitors at the Pasadena Senior Center.

The event is first come, while supplies last, and is framed as part of the broader senior food safety net in Pasadena.

Free Produce Distribution on the Patio will run on Friday, February 20, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. in Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 795-4331 or visit https://www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org/resources/social-services/421-free-produce-distribution.
