The next session meets Tuesday, February 3, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom. Advance registration is required.
During these informal virtual drop-in sessions, educators can discuss locating primary sources, developing school programs, troubleshooting lesson plan ideas, and creating hands-on creative activities with Huntington education specialists. “The flexibility to join at any time and discuss” various topics allows teachers to receive personalized guidance for integrating The Huntington’s collections and resources into classroom instruction, according to program materials.
The Virtual Office Hours sessions are part of The Huntington’s comprehensive educator professional development initiative, which also includes Saturday workshops, evening sessions, and virtual curator talks.
Educators can register online at tickets.huntington.org. For accessibility accommodations or other questions, contact Kristin Brisbois McNutt, Educator Programs Specialist, at kbrisbois@huntington.org or email teachers@huntington.org.
The monthly program continues through June 2, with sessions scheduled monthly on Tuesdays.
The Huntington, founded in 1919, serves more than 1.1 million visitors annually. The institution’s library holds approximately nine million items, the art museum houses over 50,000 artworks, and the botanical gardens encompass more than 120 acres of specialized gardens.
