On Friday night, the oldest continuously operating comedy club in the United States hosts a showcase bringing new energy to a legendary stage. The Hot Medusa Comedy Show, produced by comedian Suwon Weaver, returns to The Ice House Comedy Club on December 12.

Set in the venue’s California Room, the event features headliner Wynter Spears, a comedian with national credits.

The event highlights the Ice House’s evolution following its March 2023 reopening. Founded in 1960, the club was purchased in 2019 by Lakers co-owner Johnny Buss and underwent a $4 million renovation during a pandemic closure.

Weaver has assembled a diverse lineup of Southern California talent, including John Liu, Amanda Cohen and Gayla Johnson, a veteran of “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Rounding out the bill are Leeann Tooker, Maria de la Ghetto, Memphisbae Lashaq and Chris Connor.

Tickets for the 21-plus event are available via ShowClix, with a mandatory two-item minimum. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Hot Medusa Comedy Show will run on Friday, Dec. 12 at 7:45 p.m. The Ice House Comedy Club, 24 N. Mentor Ave., Pasadena, Calif. For more information, call (626) 414-2386 or visit icehousecomedy.com. Ticket prices: $19.50.
