From Waste to Wonder: Recycled Art Masterpieces

Published on Jul 14, 2022

Kids from 5 to 12 years old and teens from 13 to 19 will learn to transform ordinary recyclable materials into art in an event Friday, July 15, sponsored by the Pasadena Public Library.

Using these scrap materials and craft supplies, they will create new works of art in a series of workshops called “From Waste to Wonder: Recycled Art Masterpieces” at the La Pintoresca Branch Library, at 1355 N. Raymond Ave.

The Library will provide supplies, but if you have items at home you’d like to bring, you can bring what you can. For a list of readily available materials, visit https://pasadena.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails?eventid=6176

The webpage also includes the sign-up form that you can fill up and submit online.

The series will culminate in an art show on August 5. The art created out of the workshop will be on display throughout the month, the Library said.

Participation is free. Friday’s event begins at 3:30 p.m.
