For one Saturday, the One Colorado courtyard trades its usual film screenings, live music, and art markets for a cast that never misses a cue.

Enter Bob Baker Marionette Theater, the Los Angeles puppet company Bob Baker and Alton Wood founded in 1963, with two Hallowe’en Spooktacular shows on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The bill: a roughly 25-minute boo-sical revue featuring Dracula, a coven of witches, and the Purple People Eater himself. Curtain times are 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. — short enough for a preschool attention span, long enough to finish a latte. Every show ends with a puppet meet-and-greet, the rare celebrity encounter where nobody minds being strung along. Sixty-plus years in, the strings are still doing all the heavy lifting, and the kids are still falling for it.

Arrive early for a good seat, and bring your best Transylvanian accent.
