Operated by Pasadena Walking Tours, the independent, women-owned company promises an engaging look at the city’s supernatural side.
The tour begins at the Performer Statue outside The Stand, 36 S. El Molino Avenue in Pasadena, winding through Old Pasadena before ending at the landmark Castle Green.
Along the way, guests hear firsthand accounts of unexplained events recorded at historic sites.
Kimberly Mehu, former resident of Castle Green’s Unit 607, recalls hearing unexplained noises: “Water would splatter on the kitchen table, and the door handles used to jiggle.”
Pasadena Playhouse archivist Ellen Bailey adds a lighter note about the playhouse’s resident spirit: “He’s a helpful, friendly ghost. When he was alive, he wanted things a certain way, and he still does.”
Castle Green, built in 1898, has attracted paranormal investigators for decades.
Tours will run on Fridays Oct. 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 6:30 a.m. Reservations are required and can be made at pasadenawalkingtours.com.
