The Grandview Foundation Alumni Association is organizing a car wash fundraiser today to support men rebuilding their lives through recovery programs. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1230 N. Marengo Ave in Pasadena, with a suggested minimum donation of $15 per vehicle.

“This isn’t just about clean cars. It’s about building futures,” explains the event announcement from the Grandview Foundation Alumni Association.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will directly support educational outings and social development activities for individuals in recovery programs. The Grandview Foundation, established in 1969, focuses on helping men struggling with alcohol and drug addiction achieve lasting positive change.

The foundation operates multiple facilities in Garfield Heights, Pasadena, including residential treatment programs that can accommodate up to 33 men, a residential bridge housing program for 22 men, and self-paid sober living homes for an additional 22 individuals.

The Grandview Foundation Alumni Association plays a crucial role in providing ongoing support and building community among program graduates. According to their website, the Grandview Foundation Alumni Association’s mission ensures “a place for development and a happy substance-free lifestyle for members, surrounded by compassionate individuals who understand their journey.”

Today’s car wash represents one of several community fundraising efforts organized by the foundation, which also hosts annual events like the “Run for the Health of It” featuring 5K and 10K races.

The Joint Commission Accredited organization has delivered individualized addiction treatment services in a home-like environment for over five decades, with their outpatient facilities serving approximately 100 clients annually.

Community members interested in supporting this cause are invited to visit the car wash today, where volunteers will be working until 4 p.m.
