On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Cancer Support Community presented its highly anticipated annual Ladies Night Out fundraiser at Bowlero in Hastings Ranch. This year’s theme might have been “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, but the event was open to anyone who wanted to celebrate and honor the courageous women in their lives who have faced cancer.
R-Lene Mijares De Lang was this year’s honorary chair, and the hilarious Ellen F. Driscoll kept attendees entertained all evening long as Mistress of Ceremonies. Julie McCormick took the stage to speak to guests about her experience with Cancer Support Community as a participant and passionate volunteer.
Ladies Night Out, a night of fundraising, friendship and fun, also featured these fabulous shops: Diane Garretson, Gifted, Gritti Glamouri Couturi, KUMI Activewear, Nikki and Suzy Finds, Single Dress, Vahe Twisted, and YA Living. Each of these shops donated 20 percent of all proceeds back to Cancer Support Community Pasadena.
Over the past 32 years, Cancer Support Community Pasadena has served tens of thousands of people challenged with cancer. The organization currently provides ten weekly support groups and one monthly support group facilitated by professional mental health therapists, and over 80 monthly education workshops led by experts in their field along with stress management classes.
