Innovate Pasadena wants to get all of your questions answered, and not just by anyone, but by Erick Herring, chief technology officer and partner at Vynyl.
Join Innovate Pasadena at noon Wednesday, Feb. 3, for a 30-minute Ask Me Anything! (AMA!) regarding software development, systems engineering, and security, with which Herring has over 20 years of experience.
Herring has been working in the fields of software development, systems engineering, and cybersecurity throughout his career. He advises on product definition and development, cloud migration, cloud architecture, software development and testing, DevOps and technical operations, and software and physical security.
Most recently, he was the founder of the daily deals company Townloop. He had previously served as chief technology officer (CTO) and vice president of product for the online feedback site Feedback.com.
Prior to Feedback.com, he also served as CTO of Adapt Technologies, Inc., which was acquired by WebVisible, where he became CTO and vice president of product. Herring also held key management positions at Zenith Insurance and Digital Evolution.
As CTO and Partner at Vynyl, Herring works with a team of technologists, developers, designers, and product and marketing experts who build great software. The team is 100% in-house and U.S.A.-based.
The company specializes in building unique mobile and web applications that are not only technically excellent and visually appealing but also closely aligned with their clients’ business needs. Clients include high-visibility brands, major universities, government institutions, leading digital advertising agencies, and a few venture-backed private companies.
Herring acquired his bachelor’s degree in computer science degree at Aalborg University in Denmark and his master’s in computer science at Georgia Institute of Technology.
He is a board member of Innovate Pasadena, an adviser to the Los Angeles CTO Forum, and is active in both the Los Angeles and Pasadena tech communities. He has also been an adviser to the X Prize Foundation, the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles, Pasadena Heritage, and the Pasadena Unified School District.
On the free webinar, Herring will share current trends in the cybersecurity landscape and answer questions.
