Day One Pasadena, which advocates for overall mental and physical wellness throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond, is hosting DO Hikes, Hike to Heal #5 on Wednesday, May 25, at the Ernest E. Debs Regional Park in Los Angeles.

The event is open to youth ages 12 to 18 and is part of Day One’s effort to build a community of youth who want to prioritize their self-care.

“These hikes are a wonderful opportunity for youth to make, renew, and revitalize their commitment to live healthier lives,” Day One said in a statement.

The hikes start off with a warm-up and intention setting. Day One Team and the participants then hike to the halfway mark and take a Mindfulness Break where you are led through a community stretch and reflection. They’re open to all youth of all fitness levels, and no hiking experience is necessary.

Snacks will be provided on-site. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and carry some sunscreen and water.

To RSVP for DO Hikes, fill out the form here. Once registered, you will receive details within two to three days before the event.

Assembly time is 9 a.m. The hikes could take up to 2 p.m.
