Hillsides to Host Comedy Night Fundraiser

STAFF REPORT
Published on Apr 30, 2021

The Hillsides Volunteer Network is inviting the community to a virtual comedy night to benefit the Pasadena-based nonprofit dedicated to mental health services for young people.

While the annual event is normally held at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, the pandemic has prompted organizers to move the show online, starting at 6 p.m. on May 16 Hillsides said in a written statement.

“The evening raises money for activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides Residential Treatment Services program,” according to the statement.

Retired longtime NBC weather forecaster and stand-up comic Fritz Coleman and comic, actor and author Wayne Federman are scheduled to perform.

A paddle auction being hosted in connection with the event was opened online at hvncomedynight2021.ggo.bid/bidding/donation/13359620.

Tickets cost $15 per household and can be purchased at hillsides.ejoinme.org/HVNComedy2021.

More information on Hillsides is available on the organization’s website at hillsides.org.
