The City of Pasadena has announced that its annual Egg Bowl will return to the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, March 29, featuring free egg hunts and spring-themed festivities for families with children up to 12 years old.
The popular community event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will offer egg hunts starting at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12 p.m., according to city officials and the Rose Bowl Stadium management.
Registration for Pasadena residents will begin Wednesday, March 12, at 12:00 p.m. online, with non-resident registration opening Friday, March 14, at noon through the city’s online reservation system.
Every-”bunny” counts, so attendees should be sure to register all members in their group through the CityOfPasadena.net/Reserve website to obtain tickets required for entrance to the stadium grounds.
Beyond the egg hunts, the spring festival portion of the event will include family-friendly activities, games, arts and crafts, inflatable games and food for purchase and more.
The Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department noted that unlike previous years, this year’s event will not include the Bunny Brunch component that had been part of past celebrations.
Free transportation to the event will be provided via Pasadena Transit Route 51 buses, which will run every 22 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with enhanced service every 11 minutes during peak event hours.
The transit route connects Old Pasadena and Memorial Park Gold Line Station along Fair Oaks Avenue to the Rose Bowl, with the Rose Bowl Stadium being a 5-minute walk from the nearest Pasadena Transit bus stop.
Free parking will also be available in Lot F for those preferring to drive to the event, according to information provided by event organizers.
The Egg Bowl is jointly sponsored by the City of Pasadena, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and the Rose Bowl Stadium, with additional support from Pasadena Transit, Pasadena Media, and Pasadena Management Association.
