Integrity College of Health in Pasadena offers a Medical Assisting program that can be completed in as few as 34 weeks (about 8 months) for morning and afternoon students. An evening option is also available and can be completed in 42 weeks (about 9 and a half months).
The program is designed to help students develop clinical and administrative skills used in medical offices and clinics. Students learn front office and back office responsibilities, including greeting patients, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying patient information and health insurance, updating medical records, preparing examination rooms, preparing and handling medical instruments and supplies, measuring vital signs, assisting with patient examinations, collecting specimens for laboratory testing, and following HIPAA and privacy laws.
The Medical Assisting program is offered in a hybrid online format. Students complete classroom theory online while receiving hands on training in campus labs. The program also includes an externship component.
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, a Medical Assisting diploma, and CPR and First Aid certification from the American Red Cross, according to the school.

Prospective students are welcome to stop by the campus to tour the labs and speak with the admissions team. The campus is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 7 pm and Friday from 8am to 5pm.
