Interested in the Medical Industry? Stop By Integrity College of Health Saturday – And Bring Fido!

Published on Apr 15, 2023

Integrity College of Health will welcome visitors in an open house, which features music, food, raffles and pet giveaways this Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

“[The event] is primarily geared toward introducing ourselves to the community again, [especially] people who may be interested in attending a college or trade school in the medical industry,” said Gail Godown, Associate Director of Admissions at Integrity College of Health. “Our students will be here to answer any questions for people who may be interested in going to college.”

Godown said the upcoming event is  “pet friendly” so attendees can bring their animals.

Current programs at Integrity College of Health include  Veterinary Assistant, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Assisting and Medical Billing and Coding.

At the open house, the school will showcase its brand new vocational nursing program labs and classrooms.

The program will be offered to students starting late June. “It will more than likely be an evening class which will provide a real flexible schedule for those people who are working in the community and people with a background in medicine,” said Godown.

Students and the instructors will stage demonstrations of the school’s various programs at the event.

“They’ll be able to come in and actually watch the demonstrations for the ultrasound, the veterinary, medical billing, and coding,” said Godown.

Local pet vendors including Best Friends Save Them All, Wag City Clothing, Crescenta Canada Pet Hospital, Playful Purses, The Rescue Train, My Pet Garden, K9 Loft and Wet Paws Self Serve Dog Wash are coming to the event.

Local rescue, financial, grooming and apparel vendors are also coming to the event, according to Godown.

The event will take place at the school’s parking lot located at 1460 N. Lake Ave. Suite 102.
