More than 100 Southern California artisans will be returning to Pasadena’s Central Park this July 17 and 18 for the Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair, now on its 6th year of celebrating everything handmade.

Held semi-annually, Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair features a unique and curated shopping experience where shoppers can expect to find high quality and locally handcrafted goods.

Jackalope Arts, founded by Sara Diederich and Melissa Kohout, has been hosting these Indie Artisan Fair semi-annual events in both Pasadena and Denver, Colorado, since spring 2015. Burbank was added as a venue in 2019.

Dieberich is a Pasadena resident, and Kohout is from Denver. The two met through their time spent working with an international arts organization that’s been creating regular art centered events in Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

Each Indie Artisan Fair, fashioned as a “community meets artisan event,” showcases over 150 local makers who focus on handmade artistry.

Vendors and artisans can continue to register to be part of the Pasadena fair through June 4 by visiting www.jackalopeartfair.com/pasadenavendorinfo. Jackalope is seeking trendsetting indie goods including original fashion and jewelry design, ceramics and paper goods, innovative home decor and housewares, art and photography, plus much more.

Prospective vendors can choose from either a Full Booth, 10 feet by 10 feet, for $300, or a Double Booth, 10 feet by 20 feet, for $575.

Food booths and food trucks will be charged 10 percent of total sales, payable at the end of the Fair. Applications for food trucks can be filed through www.jackalopeartfair.com/foodtruck.

For the public, the Indie Artisan Fair is free admission and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Central Park, located at 275 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena.

Since last year, Jackalope Arts has also been operating a virtual marketplace with its sister company, Local Undercover.

You can shop online or find more information about Local Undercover through www.localundercover.com.
