The Jefferson Branch Library will welcome students and families on Saturday, Sept. 27 for a creative workshop designed to help young people add personal flair to their school gear.
The Backpack Charms event, scheduled for Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., invites participants to design and create unique accessories.
Located at the library’s Children & Teen Services department at 1500 E. Villa St., the one-hour workshop will provide all necessary supplies for attendees to craft personalized backpack charms.
The event comes at an ideal time as students settle into their new school year routines.
“Bring style and personality to your backpack for the new year,” reads the event description.
The workshop represents the kind of hands-on, creative programming that has become a hallmark of the Pasadena Public Library system’s community outreach efforts.
The Saturday morning timing makes the event accessible to busy families while providing a constructive weekend activity that combines creativity with practical results.
Participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind accessory that reflects their personal interests.
For families requiring accessibility accommodations, the library encourages advance planning.
Staff members ask that requests be submitted at least 72 hours before the event to ensure proper arrangements can be made.
This free event reflects the library’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible programming that serves families throughout Pasadena.
The workshop offers students a chance to pause from academic pressures and engage in purely creative pursuits.
Backpack Charms will run on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Jefferson Branch Library Children & Teen Services, 1500 E. Villa St., Pasadena.
