Councilmember Justin Jones and the Foothill Workforce Development Board are the hosts of the 2026 Career and Resource Fair, according to an announcement from Jones’ office.
The workshops start before the fair does. Three sessions run on resume writing, interviewing skills and job search strategies, and they are offered twice: from 9 to 10 a.m. and again from 11 a.m. to noon. A job seeker who arrives at the 10 a.m. start will have missed the first sitting.
“Whether someone is looking for their first position, returning to the job market, or making a career transition, this fair is designed to provide actionable support right in our neighborhood,” Jones said.
Jones, who represents District 3, tied the fair to his own start in work. “My first paid job was as a City of Pasadena ROSE Program intern — it sparked my eventual career in civil engineering,” he said.
Pre-registration is open at Bit.ly/FWDB2026. Walk-ins are welcome. Auxiliary aids and services are available on request for people with disabilities, and hearing-impaired residents can reach California Relay Services at 1-800-735-2922. Jones has encouraged attendees to travel by public transit, with route and trip planning at PasadenaTransit.net.
The day falls inside a National Weather Service heat advisory that covers the San Gabriel Valley, including Pasadena, until 8 p.m. Thursday and warns of temperatures between 85 and 105, as of the advisory updated Tuesday.
The Foothill Workforce Development Board runs the Foothill Employment and Training Connection at 1207 E. Green St., an America’s Job Center of California. It operates a comprehensive center in Pasadena and an affiliated site in Monrovia. The board serves more than 40,000 job seekers a year, according to the city.
Employers with questions can write to AEstevez@FoothillEtc.org. Other questions go to District 3 Liaison Lisa Barrios at LisaBarrios@CityOfPasadena.net or (626) 744-4738.
