Set in a Pittsburgh boarding house in 1911, the play centers on Herald Loomis, portrayed by Kai A. Ealy, a man haunted by memories of captivity and desperate to reunite with his wife. When Loomis arrives at the house run by Seth and Bertha (played by Alex Morris and Veralyn Jones), hidden pain and buried longings surface among the guests. Director Gregg T. Daniel notes, “Seth and Bertha’s boarding house is a way station where souls come on their way to find redemption.”

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Preview performances run October 12 to 17, with opening night October 18. Regular tickets range from $41.75 to $72.75, and student tickets begin at $20.
