The museum, at 480 N. Arroyo Blvd., offers the free admission window once a month for families who reserve in advance. Advance reservations are required and tickets are released approximately two weeks before each event, according to the museum. For families enrolled in qualifying assistance programs — including CalFresh, WIC, CalWORKS, Section 8, and CHIP — Kidspace also offers an Access Membership at $65 per year. On other days, general admission is $15.50 for adults and children ages 1 and older.
Kidspace Campout includes daily campfire sing-alongs in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Other activities include water play at the Arroyo Adventure area, a trike road trip course styled with a Golden Gate Bridge and tunnel, and a sand-lake fishing area called Winding Willow Lake, which features a real boat. Water shoes are recommended for the Arroyo Adventure.
A Sunset Music Series with extended evening hours begins June 26, offering live music on select Fridays through the summer. The museum is also hosting KCRW Summer Nights with Kidspace on June 27, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.; that event is free with advance RSVP, according to KCRW’s event listing. The museum is normally open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and does not accept cash.
The Altadena Libraries Mobile Library returns to the Kidspace campus on June 12, also from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
For the youngest visitors, the S. Mark Taper Foundation Early Childhood Learning Center a dedicated babyspace for newborns, crawlers, and early walkers is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The space is reserved for those earliest learners, according to the museum.
Kidspace was founded in 1979 by members of the Caltech community and the Junior League of Pasadena. The museum says it has welcomed more than 5 million visitors since its founding and counts more than 6,000 members. It moved to its current Brookside Park campus in 2004.

Families who qualify for Access Membership can apply in person at the museum during open hours by presenting proof of eligibility to any Guest Service Associate.
