Families looking for an affordable way to entertain children can take advantage of a monthly opportunity at Kidspace Children’s Museum, which opens its doors for free on the first Friday of every month.

The Free First Fridays program runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the museum located at 480 N. Arroyo Blvd. in Pasadena. The next event is scheduled for June 6.

While admission is typically charged, the museum waives all fees during these special Friday afternoon sessions. However, advance reservations are required for the popular program.

“Visitors are invited to join the fun for free on the first Friday of every month,” according to museum information.

Tickets for the free events are released approximately two weeks before each scheduled date. Families interested in attending can make reservations through the museum’s website at https://kidspacemuseum.org/.

The program allows children and families to experience all the museum has to offer without the financial barrier that might otherwise prevent visits. The three-hour window provides ample time for exploration of the facility’s exhibits and activities.
