LA Opera Principal Cellist Headlines Classical Concert in Pasadena

Beverly Hills International Music Festival brings acclaimed musicians to historic venue

The Beverly Hills International Music Festival will present “An Evening of Classical Magic” featuring “Serenata In Tre” on Friday, August 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Hollywood Piano Concert Hall in Pasadena.

The $55 concert will feature John Walz, principal cellist of the LA Opera Orchestra since 1992, and internationally acclaimed vocalist Veronica Bell.

Walz previously served as principal cellist with the Long Beach Symphony and co-founded the Pacific Trio. He currently teaches at Idyllwild Arts Academy.

Bell holds a master’s degree from Moscow’s Gnesin Academy and won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Female Vocalist in 2013 and a Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards in 2016. She performs internationally.

The concert takes place at Hollywood Piano Concert Hall, located at 5499 South Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena.

Founded in 1928, the venue features vintage and modern pianos ranging from Christofory relics to digital models in an intimate acoustic setting.

The hall is ADA-compliant and offers free on-site parking.
