La Pintoresca Park is celebrating 26 years of bringing families, friends and neighbors together on Saturday, May 28, with Family Fun Day, sponsored by the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS).
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., La Pintoresca Park kicks off the start of summer with the grand re-opening of a new water splash pad, skate park, and a new basketball court. Family-friendly activities include a tiny tot area provided by the Public Health Department, arts and crafts with the Armory Center for the Arts, a skateboard expo, a bike repair workshop, a basketball tournament, laser tag, a video game bus, bingo for older adults, and live entertainment by Monday Night Live Band.
Officers and firefighters from the Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will be on the grill cooking free hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone to enjoy.
It’s a great way to meet new people or reconnect with old friends and together celebrate one of the great parks in Northwest Pasadena. You can bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the outdoor concert.
