Lake Avenue Church is serving as a host site for the 2026 Global Leadership Summit, a two-day conference the Global Leadership Network broadcasts from Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, to churches and businesses that agree to carry it. The church’s event listing schedules the Pasadena sessions for Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days, at 393 North Lake Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101.
The organizer’s listing describes the program as practical sessions drawn from business, ministry, research and community leadership, with time set aside for networking and faith-based reflection.
The Global Leadership Network states on its website that the 2026 Summit will run live in the United States and Canada at more than 400 participating host site venues and online.
Fourteen speakers appear on the lineup the church has posted. They include Craig Groeschel, founding and senior pastor of Life.Church; Jim Collins, the management writer behind “Good to Great”; Priscilla Shirer, cofounder of Going Beyond Ministries; Andy Stanley, founder of North Point Ministries; and Candace Cameron Bure, the actress and chief executive of Candy Rock Entertainment.
Also listed are behavioral researcher Vanessa Van Edwards, negotiation author Kwame Christian, polar explorer Alison Levine, restaurant executive Julio García, Wonder Project chief executive Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, leadership consultant Ryan Leak, author Arthur C. Registration is tiered, and the organizer directs prospective attendees to its own page for current rates. The church’s page lists $149 for church members, $99 for students, and $149 for what it terms qualified professions — active nurses, first responders, teachers and faculty, and military personnel. A $6.00 processing fee is added to each registration. The member and qualified-professions rates are posted as Super Early Bird prices available until June 19, 2026, a date that has passed; the student rate is listed as available until the event. The Global Leadership Network’s own site lists local host site attendance at $249.

The church tells visitors that parking on its main campus is limited and directs them to the Gateway parking structure, from which it runs a shuttle and estimates a 10-minute walk.
Lake Avenue Church, founded in 1896, is an evangelical Protestant congregation. Its senior pastor is the Rev. Dr. Mathew P. John.
One of the speakers, Julio García, is a restaurant executive whose company has grown in Houston’s culinary scene and who, according to his official Summit biography, arrived from Mexico City with no English and started out washing dishes. The biography records the promise he made himself in those years: that if he ever built a company of his own, he would “build it differently.”
