Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School is a Catholic school that has served Pasadena and surrounding areas with a well rounded faith-based education since 1952. Serving transitional kindergarten (TK) through Eighth Grade, we nurture an active ten year investment with our students and families, where everyone feels a sense of genuine belonging and connection well beyond graduation.
The school is known for providing quality education and is distinguished by its robust academics, championship academic and athletic competitions, Spanish and Fine Arts programs, Learning support program, and strong sense of community.
High expectations, coupled with skilled, differentiated instruction in a blended-learning environment across the grade levels, are provided by our teachers, many of whom have advanced degrees.
Our teachers have been well trained for distance learning and continue to seek methods and strategies that will further enhance it. ABVM was one of the first private schools in Pasadena that transitioned into distance learning and one of the first ten schools that were granted a waiver for reopening.
Whether learning in-person or remotely, students are nurtured to be confident, compassionate and well balanced individuals, who are accepted into the area’s finest Catholic and private high schools.
At ABVM, we strive for excellence and are committed to preparing our students for successful and rewarding lives.
