Learn Regenerative Gardening With Capri Kasai

Free hands-on workshop invites volunteers to dig into climate-appropriate gardening in Pasadena
Published on Feb 13, 2026

Arlington Garden in Pasadena is hosting a free, hands-on workshop where volunteers can learn regenerative gardening directly in the soil alongside garden educator Capri Kasai.

The public, 3-acre demonstration garden is known for its native and Mediterranean-climate plants and its focus on mulching, composting and water-wise practices.

The workshop is part of Arlington’s recurring Weekend Projects program, where volunteers “work on longer-term projects while learning about regenerative gardening and the natural world.”

Participants help with planting, landscaping and identifying desirable plants and undesirable weeds while getting exercise and meeting fellow plant enthusiasts.

Arlington Garden highlights accessibility and community building, welcoming an “intergenerational, multicultural” mix of visitors that Capri describes as an inclusive space, even as staff continue working on accessibility improvements.

Participation is free, but space is limited and advance sign-up is required.

Learn Regenerative Gardening by Doing it Yourself with Capri Kasai will run on Saturday, February 14, at 9 a.m. at Arlington Garden Pasadena, 275 Arlington Drive, in Pasadena.
