The recurring program is part of Descanso’s kids-and-families offerings designed to “connect garden visitors of all ages to nature” through storytimes, science and other kid-friendly activities.
A listing for Little Owls describes the session as featuring “songs, puppets and of course books!” and calls it “great for children ages 2–7 with a caregiver.”
The program meets at Nature’s Table near the Promenade inside the garden.
No separate event registration is required; Little Owls is “included with admission or membership” and is “free with admission,” meaning members do not pay extra and nonmembers must purchase standard tickets.
Descanso Gardens is described as a “nonprofit public garden” and “urban oasis,” and promotes itself as “an ideal destination for kids — little or big — and family members of every generation.”
Families are invited to “explore nature through storytimes, science, and kid-friendly activities,” with Little Owls fitting into that broader portfolio of youth programming.
Little Owls will run on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. For more information, call (818) 949-4200 or visit https://www.descansogardens.org/event/little-owls/2026-02-24/.
