The City of Pasadena announced that La Casita Foundation will host its annual Artists Sale on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at La Casita Del Arroyo, 177 South Arroyo Boulevard. The event will feature original plein air paintings by 20 Southern California artists, with proceeds supporting preservation efforts at the historic site.

Promoted by the City as a way to “support La Casita by supporting local artists,” the one-day sale offers attendees a chance to purchase locally made art gifts ahead of the holiday season while contributing to the maintenance of La Casita’s building, gardens and exterior spaces. Participating artists will present works that depict La Casita and the surrounding Arroyo Seco landscape.

The City encourages residents to “join us for a day of art, community, and local history,” spotlighting the event’s civic and cultural significance.

Built in 1933 by architect Myron Hunt, La Casita Del Arroyo is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Pasadena Cultural Heritage Landmark. La Casita Foundation has overseen the property’s upkeep since its formation in 1994.
