Five years ago, Rusty Tweed, owner of Tweed Financial Services of San Marino, started a sideline business called Mold Zero. Using a unique patented non-toxic process, Mold Zero tackles and effectively destroys hard-to-get-at mold in homes and offices.
The process involves two steps, Tweed said.
The first is a “dry fog” that expands throughout the indoor space and, Tweed said, kills 99.99% of all micro-organisms (virus, mold & bacteria).
“The second step of our process is an anti-microbial nano-coating that is sprayed onto the surface of all objects, walls, floors, countertops, chairs, door handles, etc.,” he said. “We even do the interior of cars and trucks. This will destroy any micro-organism that comes in contact with it for at least 90 days.”
These processes were originally developed as a sterilant against virus and bacteria, but was adapted to kill mold, which according to Tweed is much harder to eradicate than a virus.
“Our many years of experience in eliminating mold has made us uniquely trained and experienced to knock out any and all pathogens, of which the coronavirus is only one of many,” Tweed said.
Tweed’s company has found itself called upon during the current crisis.
“Recently, with the onslaught of COVID-19 and its attendant fears, we’ve been contacted to sanitize local schools, pre-schools, doctor’s and chiropractic offices, medical clinics, even factories and large offices. We now have the capacity to tackle indoor floor space from 1,000 square feet to in excess of well over 100,000 square feet,” he said.
Although most people are doing their utmost to stay as far away from the coronavirus as they possible can, Tweed said his crews actually welcome “these potentially dangerous situations as we have the background and experience that is truly unique to this industry and know we can effectively deal with and cleanse any indoor space.”
“We are passionate about using our processes to take out and eliminate any and all dangerous micro-organisms to create a truly human-friendly indoor biom.”
