The “Hidden Gems” program brings long-stay dogs to PetSmart Hastings Ranch from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. each week, including Wednesday, Nov. 26. The mobile outreach effort targets animals who need extra visibility to find their match.
“Looking to adopt a dog that sparkles? Come meet some of our Hidden Gems every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at PetSmart Hastings Ranch,” according to Pasadena Humane’s event description. “Each week, we’ll be bringing dogs who have been at the shelter longer than most other pups, giving them some extra time in the spotlight to really shine.”
The program contributed to Pasadena Humane placing 100% of healthy and safe animals in 2024 and finding homes for more than 55,000 animals last year.
Pasadena Humane is waiving all adoption fees for pets aged five and older throughout November in partnership with the Mericos Foundation for National Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Standard adoption fees are $150 for dogs six months and older and $300 for puppies.
All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a microchip, and a free health exam within 14 days from a participating veterinarian.
Pasadena Humane is located at 361 S. Raymond Ave. and is open for adoptions from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
