Three major organizations are joining forces to support high school seniors whose lives were disrupted by the recent Eaton Fire. Macy’s, Wells Fargo, and Day One have announced a special event today designed to give graduating students from Pasadena Unified School District some essential resources as they transition to post-high school life.

The collaborative initiative will offer financial assistance, practical workshops, and emotional support to students who have experienced significant hardship.

“Supporting our community is what we DO at Day One,” said Christy Zamani, Executive Director of Day One. “We are grateful for wonderful community partners like Wells Fargo and Macy’s that have shown up for our impacted youth who have been through the most unimaginable year.”

Each participating student will receive a complimentary $250 Macy’s gift card to shop for graduation outfits.

Beyond the shopping experience, the event will feature workshops focused on college readiness, financial literacy, and alcohol and drug safety, including sessions on binge drinking and fentanyl awareness.

“At Macy’s, we believe in celebrating life’s milestones and supporting our community, especially during times of hardship,” said Shannon Giancotta, Store Manager at Macy’s Pasadena. “We’re honored to help these resilient students look and feel their best as they prepare for graduation and the next chapter of their lives.”

The day’s activities will include brunch, photos, and shopping opportunities. Day One will work directly with the Pasadena Education Foundation to share registration information with fire survivors.

Mario Holten, Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Impact for Wells Fargo’s Southern California Region, emphasized their commitment to the cause. “Wells Fargo is committed to supporting our communities. We are proud to help Pasadena students affected by the Eaton wildfires as they prepare to graduate,” he said.

Registration is limited to graduating Pasadena Unified School District seniors impacted by the Eaton Fire. Students can register by visiting https://bit.ly/2025SeniorSendOff.
