Join the Pasadena Salvation Army on Friday, Nov. 20, for the seventh Pasadena Red Kettle Kick-Off Breakfast, an annual event dedicated to helping families in need.
This time, the event will be virtual, but the goal remains the same: to raise funds for the Salvation Army’s support programs for the community.
“We’re fundraising for the cause to make a difference,” the Salvation Army California South Division said on its website. “It is through the generosity of people like you that our hungry, homeless, and less fortunate neighbors in Pasadena will be embraced and served.”
In 2019 alone, the Salvation Army Pasadena Tabernacle provided 8,863 meals or food boxes and sack lunches, 645 Thanksgiving dinners and 720 Christmas food boxes. They also distributed 235 clothing vouchers. More than 1,400 children received Christmas toys, 200 kids received back-to-school supplies, and 70 high school girls and boys were provided a prom dress and suits.
The Salvation Army’s motto, “Doing The Most Good,” is an assurance that gifts are effectively and efficiently used to serve others.
This year’s event is open to the public and free to attend. Pre-registration for this event is required, so the invitation link can be sent to you and guests.
This year’s emcee is Fritz Coleman. The keynote speaker is Lisa Guerrero.
