Every Monday morning at 9 a.m., while most of Pasadena is still reaching for their first cup of coffee, the Triple Shot Jazz Trio transforms Jones Coffee Roasters into an intimate jazz club, serving up improvisations and original compositions alongside the café’s signature roasts.
The modern jazz ensemble, based in Pasadena, has maintained a weekly Monday morning residency at the Raymond Avenue coffee house, performing from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. each week. Their next performance is scheduled for Monday, July 28 at 9 a.m.
“Triple Shot is a modern jazz trio based in Pasadena, performing improvisations and original compositions,” according to the venue’s Live Music Schedule page.
The group features Marcelo Bucater, who serves as Drum Department Chair and faculty at the Los Angeles College of Music, bringing academic jazz expertise to the intimate coffee house setting.
